It is the seat of the Rectorate, where the offices of the General Management of the University of Brescia are also located. The building is a historic residence as it belonged to a branch of the most famous Brescian family, the Martinengos.
Thanks to the armed guard on duty that day, I was able to see the grand staircase and the frescoes. 😊 Lucky... see photo. An elegant building (the Church of the Linen is on the left) in Piazza Mercato. Thank you.
